My First Bible Study at the World Mission Society Church of God

Hello again, so I’m back. Today I would like to inform you that yesterday I attended my first Bible study at the World Mission Society Church of God. Before I attended I put in my mind that at the first sign, of something not being introduced through the Bible, I was going to walk out of there, and take my son with me. So I studied about the Sabbath Day. I had heard from other places something about the Sabbath Day, but not like I did yesterday. I did not understand the importance of it, and how all throughout the Bible is clearly laid out. What shocked me the most is that, now a day all churches claim to follow the bible, but nowhere in the Bible do you find anything on Sunday observance. I mean, I am no Bible wiz, but just through common sense you understand that Saturday is the correct day to go to church according to the Bible.

Genesis 2:1-3 {thus the heavens and the earth were completed in their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested [a] from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.}

So I put some logic into this. Since the creation of the world God only rested, blessed and made holy the seventh day. Nowhere in the records of the creation do you see that God blessed the first day of the week, or that he rested on the sixth day of the week, or anything in the likes. This was done before any religion existed (Christianity, Judaism, Islam…whatever), that means that if you want to be blessed by God, and you want to rest, the day God designated was the seventh day. If it didn’t matter, I mean why would God set it aside? God would have just made all the days the same, but he didn’t, that means that this Seventh day is very significant.

I also saw the history of the one who changed it, Constantine. It makes perfect sense, the Sun-day... the day of the sun, no wonder all the sun imagery in the Churches. I always wondered how come they always put the halos in the back of the heads of the saints… now I understand, is to identify Christianity with the worship of the sun. I mean I really don’t want to follow Constantine, I want to follow God.

So after my Bible study I decided to go ask a priest to see what their excuse for not keeping the Sabbath Day is; I mean they have billions of people following them, they must have some really good evidence for not keeping the Sabbath day. This is what he told me: “After Jesus Christ, the law was abolished”.
So I did my research, and I found out that the law in the bible means, the law given to Moses, which means the 10 commandments.
Now I have yet to see a church that says that they don’t follow the 10 commandments. They all claim that they follow the 10 commandments, but among the 10 commandments the fourth commandment says:

Exodus 20:8-10 {"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God…}

So if the law is abolished, and we don’t need to keep it, I guess it’s ok to steal now, kill, lie, covet your neighbor’s goods, and dishonor your father and mother. I mean if the law is abolished, and the Sabbath doesn’t need to be kept, then we could do all of these too. Nonsense!

Lastly I found a really old book written by D.L. Moody, a very famous preacher. The book is entitled, “Weighed and Wanting”, on page 46 of this book, when speaking about the fourth commandment, Mr. Moody writes:

“I honestly believe that this commandment is just as binding today as it ever was. I have talked with men who have said that it has been abrogated, but they have never been able to point to any place in the Bible where God repealed it. When Christ was on earth he did nothing to set it aside…”

I mean, the Sabbath Day needs to be kept, after my bible study I realized that Churches today don’t keep the 10 commandments, but the 9 commandments; this is not in the Bible.

After my first Bible study in the World Mission Society Church of God, I understand now the correct way to follow God according to the Bible, about the Ahnsahnghong thing and the Mother thing I don’t know yet, but what I do know is that I am not going back to Sun-day worship. Till next time… keep posted.

From the first study you can even see how the Church of God only follows the Bible while other churches follow tradition. I was also shocked that Constantine made sunday worship and now God. But keep studying, it only gets better from here and you will also see that Christ AhnSahngHong and Mother God are also true.

Yea its ridiculous how churches claim to follow the ten commandments but yet dont follow one of teh most important ones- The Sabbath! through this day they can recognize who God is! No wonder they can not even testify Jesus Christ fully through the bible. Continue to study and you will see that Christ Ahnsahnghong And Mother Jerusalem are true God, otherwise why would we be keeping the commands of God? if we belonged to satan, we would not be keeping the sabbath which is totally contrary to what satan wants.

I have to admit, I feel a bit more at ease at this moment. My son also has been attending this church and Ive been so enraged about the situation. I honestly feel stupid, this whole time Ive been searching the internet and finding peoples opinions about the church, even one person who has many pages against the Church of God, but tonight after reading your blog, I looked into it more and found his personal page, the guy turns out to be some wierd "cheese worshiper". I dont know. I cant believe I was listening to what he wrote. As a mother, I should have been doing my own research. What kind of mother am I? I have always claimed to believe in the bible, but... I have never even read it. I myself have just been attending church every sunday feeling like a zombie, coming out of there not knowing anything thats going on. 43 yrs. I do my work as a professional and do reasearch for all things, but for God Ive come short. And even when my son showed me about the saturday in the bible, I ignored him. I saw it its true. I guess its just hard to see him growing up and making his own decisions. Im still a little weired about it. I have to admit, I feel scared. Maybe just scared that Ive been wrong this whole time. Im sure its better to be safe than sorry, I can't play around with God. As a concerned parent and believer of Jesus Christ, God almighty, how could I judge without having even checked it out. I really feel so stupid. I wont tell him but, I might check it out one of these days. I hope you keep writting I would like to know what else you learn.

Thank you so much.

wow! it really does make a lot of sense. I think no one really keeps any of the ten commandments. But what I do know is that sabbath on saturday is the true day to worship God and recieve His blessings ( I knew that even before coming to the WMS Church of God). That's I believe in Father Ahnsahnghong, because he made it known to us.

As long as you whole-heartedly believe the bible you'll have no problem understanding what is truth. I understand that you as a concerned parent want the best for you and your son. Most importantly when it deals with the salvation of our souls. If they can't even follow one commandment then what about the rest of their teachings. I'm sure the more you study the more satisfied you'll be in knowing your son has walked into the gates of heaven. God Bless you

I never knew i was worshipping the sun! How did you feel when you saw that because I felt so sad. God put so clearly in the bible his will and laws but it's been used and abused by mere men. I hope to only follow the bible and what God says.

Continue to study, I had so many questions on the bible and everything was Answered. Their are so many people that talk bad about the truth, Even though they have never even been to the church.
God Bless You.....

Yes continue to study in the Church of God.
I also was very shocked when I first studied about the Sabbath. In the begining I was a little skeptical but, then I realize that all the Church of God teachings are true and God-approved. Why? Because they all come from the bible and God wrote the bible.
Now when someone tells me the church of God is not true, I tell them
'if so then prove it through the bible'

It's so true! I was so shocked an amazed when I found out about Sabbath worship! I heard some things in the past before about Sunday not being right, but I never really saw anything to back it up or the solution to the problem of worshipping God on the wrong day.

Let us know how the rest of your studies are going?
